- My name is Molly; I live in Northside, a neighborhood in Cincinnati,
Ohio. I took the pictures on this site because I wanted to show them
to my nephew, Mickey, and my niece, Kira. I made the website because
I tend to get a little over-enthusiastic about things.
- I used a Sony 2.1 megapixel camera -- nothing fancy.
- Funke's Greenhouse
- this is where I get plants that I can't scavenge from someone else's
yard. If you're a gardener and you live in Cincinnati, it's a great
place to browse (and buy :). They're local -- and sometimes they even
have poetry readings on Saturday afternoons. How cool is that?
- I work for Caracole, an amazing
non-profit organization dedicated to providing safe, secure, affordable
housing to people living with HIV/AIDS and technology solutions for
non-profits.
It might sound like a weird combination, but it works. :)
- Cicadaville - a very funny
site about cicadas.
- Ode to the Cicada - a poem by
Kim Manning, a/k/a Abby's (and Lati's and Eliza's) Mom
- Cincinnati.com
has a pretty cool cicada section on their website.
- 17
Year Itch - Mating Songs of Cincinnati, USA - a tribute
CD to the Brood X emergence by Cincinnati bands.
- Cicada
Fiestas: Top Places to Bug Out - a National
Geographic article about cicadas
- Other (somewhat more professional) non-cicada-related
websites that I've made:
- The Gemz - a pre-teen, all-girl
pop group
- Sweepea - an incredibly
talented music producer based in LA (also my brother, a/k/a Peter
McEvilley)
And th-th-th-that's all, folks. Happy Cicadas!
