watched this guy dry his wings last night When I went
out this morning, the spiderwort had bloomed and so had he! (I know,
that's cheesy...) |

 Here's
an early riser -- he was about an hour ahead of any of the other cicadas
I found in the dark,
but I didn't notice him until I was already pretty committed to
the one on
the fence. On
the left at about 1 a.m., and on the right at about 7 a.m. |

two on the left are hanging on obedient plant (a perennial from Funke's
Greenhouse, which has amazing stuff), and the one on the right is
on a hosta
